Why should you join St Johns Wrestling Academy?

St Johns Wrestling Academy session is designed to give athletes the opportunity to develop wrestling skills in the off season. Our program provides the opportunity to learn, drill and allow plenty of live wrestling to develop the combat skills needed to be successful during the winter wrestling season.

There is no better sport than wrestling in developing self confidence, agility, coordination, strength and conditioning. The spring session is a great way to keep a competitive edge between winter and fall season. In addition, learning and developing combative skills. .

Academy Director and Coach

St Johns Wrestling Acadamy is led by Creekside High School Head Coach Rick Marabell

Coach Marabell has been at the helm of the Creekside wrestling program since the beginning in 2008. Under his guidence Creekside has developed into the top wrestling program in St Johns County, Florida, as well as, Northeast Florida.

Creekside has accumulated a dual match record of 251 - 75, including 2 FHSAA district duals championship, 1 region dual championship along with a final 4 appearance at the FHSAA state dual tournament in 2018.

In addition, Creekside has won 2 traditional district tournament championship along with producing 44 individual district champions, 12 individual region champions, 38 state qualifiers and 6 state placer including 1 state champion.
